Si Se Puede

August 18, 2024 -- Today I joined a two-day march for immigrants' rights from San Jose to San Francisco (almost 50 miles). I served as a volunteer nurse on the accompanying medical team. We were 10 RN volunteers in 6 shifts (3 shifts/day, 2 RNs on each). Very well organized! By the RN Response Network, a group within the National Nurses United that organizes volunteer missions to disaster areas domestic and international.

There were 60-80 marchers, mostly hispanic. Immigrants' rights are an important issue here in California and in much of our country. Our marchers were spirited and cheerful and, as we said in Obama's campaign, si se puede!
