Hits and Misses

August 29, 2024 -- Reviewing this blog as it approaches its twentieth year (wow! how the time has flown!) it's time to revisit some postings that are truly groundbreaking -- hits! -- proposals that, if implemented, would do much to improve healthcare in America.

Here are some of our hits.

New Model -- Here is a whole new financial model for nursing that benefits patients, hospitals and nurses. Unbundle nursing from hospital room rates. Make us billable.
End employer-provided -- Let people buy their own health insurance (and make it tax-deductible) instead of getting it from their jobs. Add the employers' savings to paychecks.
Getting Clear about Single Payer -- Why we need single-payer: end the insane bureaucracies whose job is to stick some other payer (often the patient) with the bill.
What Do You Mean I Don't Own My Own Medical Data? -- Patients don't actually own their own medical data... but they should. And can.
